Untitled (Skins) is a process-driven work based on a field experiment performed throughout Bondi Junction, Sydney. The field work involved disguising myself within another persona, completely different to my own, and embodying that persona physically and mentally. The work that came from it, Untitled (Skins), is a series of “skins” made from artificial hair (referring to the wig I wore on the day). Each panel is an anotomical representation of the body, the first being a silhouette, the second being the central nervous system and the third being a heart. The images are skewed by the hair, similar to the way that the camouflages or disguises we personify influence how we are viewed by others.
