Chair was a work that explored the ready-made as a sculptural medium. Using segmented second-hand chairs I explored the spacial relationship between two objects, the chair and the plinth. By sawing and dissecting the chair I removed it’s stability and strength creating a useless object. This work appeared to fuse with the plinth, becoming a single entity reaching out into the space.
